Mira Road: The Mira-Bhayandar, Vasai-Virar (MBVV) Police Commissionerate has recently added a mobile forensic van to its fleet, marking a significant step in strengthening on-site crime investigation. The development was confirmed by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Sandeep Doifode.
Until now, forensic teams had to be summoned from Mumbai, often causing delays in evidence collection and spot inspections. With this dedicated mobile van now available locally, the MBVV police expect crime investigations and spot panchnamas to become faster and more efficient.
“It is equipped with DNA kits, scientific testing tools, packing material, and marking tapes required during investigations. This will save valuable time and improve the quality of evidence collection,” added Doifode.
