Anti-Human Trafficking Cell Cracks Down on Illegal Activities at Royal Luxury Spa

In a significant breakthrough, the Anti-Human Trafficking Cell (AHTC) of the Mira-Bhayandar Vasai-Virar Police Commissionerate has exposed a sex trafficking operation being run under the guise of a massage parlour in Mira Road East. The team successfully rescued four women who were allegedly forced into prostitution at a spa operating under the name “Royal, The Luxury (Viva) Spa”.

Sex Trafficking Under the Cover of Wellness Services

Based on a reliable tip-off, the AHTC initiated a sting operation at the spa located in Poonam Srushti, near Latif Park, Mira Road. According to the initial report, staff members were suspected of offering sexual services in exchange for money, disguised as massage therapy.

Upon completing all legal protocols, including the deployment of a decoy customer and arrangement of panch witnesses, the police team raided the premises in the evening hours.

Arrests Made: Spa Operator and Manager Held

During the operation, two individuals were apprehended:

Govind alias Munna Arjun Singh (28), the alleged spa operator from Uttar Pradesh
Naseem Yusuf Shaikh (34), the spa manager and a resident of Dahisar (East)

According to Police Inspector Devidas Handore, the accused duo were actively engaged in operating a sex racket, arranging women for prostitution and charging clients Rs 7,500 per appointment.

Evidence Seized and Legal Action Taken

The police confiscated:

Five mobile phones
Rs 45,380 in cash

A formal case has been registered at Mira Road Police Station under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) 2023 and the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956.

Ongoing Investigation: Broader Human Trafficking Network Suspected

Authorities have confirmed that a deeper investigation is underway to identify other individuals connected to the illegal operation. The AHTC has reaffirmed its commitment to eradicating human trafficking and ensuring justice for victims of exploitation.
